Simple Sampling - a name, a concept!
When Soundcells started working on a fun ReFill based on the original Stylophone, this little toy was sampled note by note. Besides programming a patch that matches the original, a few extra steps were taken in the NNXT sampler: Some fat, funky Clavinet-like patches knew how to surprise.
During the production of the Stylofunk minitrack (apart from the loop, this is entirely based on the
Stylophone samples), Soundcells has added a plethora of additional cool stuff to this ReFill: a 'single-sample Rhodes', a 'single-sample Piano', a 'single-sample Kalimba' and a bunch of other fun stuff...
If you're looking for classic, old-school sampled sounds, rather than huge patches made up of hundreds of individual samples, you'll love this ReFill.
The patches load super fast, are CPU friendly and exude a wonderfully retro feel.

• 176 Combinator patches for many different music styles - divided into 6 folders: Basses, Drum Machines, FX & Atmo, Keys, Leads, Pads.
• 161 NNXT patches containing all the base sounds used to create the Combinator patches.
• An original stylophone sampled and looped note by note (a2 – e4) including the typical release click.
• 450+ 'Simple Samples' from the Rhodes Mark 1, Doepfer MS404, Supernova 2, microKORG, Modular G2, Yamaha VL1, Yamaha SY99, Kawai K5000...
• The Module folder contains the basic NNXT patches used for the Combinator sounds, 10 Rex loops, 5 Redrum kits.
• 9 demo tracks included in Reason format.
Note 1: "Simple Sampling by Ruxpin" - a sampled voice was used for this demo track, which is NOT included in this ReFill. This track uses Ableton Live for sequencing and some third party FX plugs. ALL sounds come from Simple Sampling. This track is NOT INCLUDED.
Note 2: Reason 6 and above must be installed to use this product.

This refill is fantastic.
I took a little while before I could have a quick listen to the other sounds because I had trouble tearing myself away from the 3 "Smooth Piano" patches. Worth every penny and more.
